Oh. My. Word.
This wedding was everything I hoped it would be and more. I had the great opportunity to photograph a dear friend of mine on her wedding day. We all use to live together so for me it was like photographing family, which I loved.
The day was originally scheduled to start at 7am but she decided to let me sleep in and have it start at 12pm. We all met at her hotel, only to find out later that her sister went to the wrong hotel! So I grabbed my camera bag and drove over to the new location.
Guys, this hotel was BEAUTIFUL! The lobby was incredible, so much detail. Another nice thing was that it was literally across the street from the venue.
So I took all of my detail shots in the hotel room while the bride, her daughter and her maid of honor were getting ready.
Then it was time for the first look! This was so exciting for me, I wanted to make sure I got everything right. Fortunately the Landmark Center in St Paul, Minnesota is STUNNING! There was this beautiful staircase that we used for these images. I walked to groom up a couple flights and had him hide around the corner. Then the bride came in and I walked her up again and had her go up a little bit more so she could walk down to him. The wedding party and some other close family members looked on from behind and we were able to capture their reactions as well.
After this we did some photos of just the bride and groom on the stairs. These are my personal favorites!
Now time for the ceremony! The bride had to get her hair redone last minute due to humidity so there was a little bit of a panic before but she pulled it off. I love the shot of her with her sisters, it shows their personalities perfectly! Michael and Dominique are such a beautiful couple!!
Now the party begins! This venue was again, STUNNING! I said it before and I'll say it again a million times. All credit to the Landmark Center in St Paul, Minnesota! I mean, look at this place... And these kids are way too cute!
The bride and groom had an outfit change during the reception in traditional Nigerian clothing since the groom is Nigerian. We did some more family photos, the cake cutting, photos of the bride and groom on their own and of course dancing! It was so much fun, I didn't want to leave.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures from this beautiful wedding as much as I enjoyed being there!
