In between photo sessions this week, I had the pleasure of providing newborn photography services for a friend of mine who just had her first child. I was so excited to see them and he took his sweet time coming to meet this big world but he was worth the wait!
They drove an hour to get to me! This little guy is so cute and I'm very happy that they made the trip down. He was 6 days old for these photos, which is the perfect time to get in.
His mom and I talked quite a bit about what colors to use for the photoshoot and she decided that she really liked neutrals and creams. I thought this was an excellent choice; the photos look so peaceful. Doesn't it just make you want to snuggle him?
I was really excited to do this pose again. It's not as easy as it looks... AND it is perfectly safe! Thankfully mom and dad were there to help position their little one's head in the perfect pose and Photoshop was able to take care of the rest. Thank you Photoshop!
For being 6 days old he was incredibly strong. His little arms, hands and fingers were wanting to stay in one position but he ended up working with me pretty well, it just took some patience. I was very impressed at his strength!
I also love the sheepskin throw that the parents brought. If there are any blankets, outfits, or anything like that that you like or think would look good then feel free to bring it. It's always fun trying new things and the photos turn out great.
While the creamy colors turned out so great, some of the black and white shots stole the show. I absolutely love this one; it is so dramatic. Such a cuddly little guy.
